We Are The Series: A Fun Entertainer with a Dynamic Cast

New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul’s latest directorial “We Are The Series” is a funny light hearted romantic comedy. GMMTV released Episode 1 a week ago and it is worth watching. He is the director of many other popular series that we loved like ‘Love by chance’, ‘ Until we meet again etc. Unlike these series, “We are” is a full-on entertainer.

An unexpected incident resulting in a fight between Phum, an engineering student and Pheem, a fine arts student played by Pond and Phuwin respectively. As the story unravels, the audience might get to watch an interesting array of incidents that turn these enemies into lovers. The mentor-mentee camaraderie between another pair, Satang and Winny is also fascinating to watch.

The dynamic and young cast is the biggest positive of We Are The Series. The popular pair PondPhuwin and SatangWinny are a delight to watch. But the one that drew my attention the most is Tan played by Aou Thanaboon Kiatniran. He is an underrated actor of GMMTV. He played different kinds of supporting roles in many GMM series and proved that he is capable of doing any kind of roles that he is cast into.

Episode 2 is funnier and even romantic than the first episode. The three romantic pairs have excellent chemistry. There are cliched scenes in this as well. I wish they had written better scenes for the characters to develop their rapport. One thing I absolutely disliked is the unnecessary sound effects that does not match the scene at all.

Overall “We Are” is a fun watch and I would recommend anyone who loves watching romantic comedy to definitely watch this one.
