Mismatched season 1 aired on Netflix in 2020. It is an Indian Rom-com coming-of-age drama based on Sandhya Menon’s Novel When Dimple met Rishi. Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari are the directors of the series. Now, the Mismatched season 2 trailer is out.
Everyone who has watched season 1 would know that Rishi (Rohit Suresh Saraf) is a hopeless romantic born in the wrong era who falls head over heels for Dimple (Prajakta Koli). Dimple is an ambitious girl who has no interest in love or marriage. They meet in an institute for app developers. But eventually, Dimple falls for Rishi and they start dating. But due to unfortunate circumstances Dimple ends up kissing another guy Harsh (Vihaan Samat) in the institute. There are also other subplots which I am not mentioning here.
However, now the season 2 trailer is released. It looks complicated. The trailer begins with Rishi “accidentally” spilling coffee all over Dimple. Evidently, Rishi has learned about Dimple kissing another guy and problems are bound to occur. A new girl is also entering season 2 who is going to be Rishi’s Love interest in the season. A few other characters are also introduced in season 2. Hopefully, they make the story more interesting. It is shown as Dimple having a panic attack, so something big is bound to happen. From the trailer, it is clear that Dimple has fallen for Harsh yet can’t get over Rishi. With whom would she end up? Well, we will have to wait till season 2 is released. With everything going on, Dimple is still determined to get into her dream institute.
The season will be a great watch for anyone interested in light-hearted romantic comedies. I would say you should give it a go.
