The Story of Three Sisters: Little Women Trailer Talk

This K-drama is an adaptation of the American classic Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. The novel was about four sisters with a close bond and their story of struggle and growing up. Here, in the drama, the story is about three sisters who are in poverty just like Alcott’s characters. We do not know for sure, how much of the storyline is similar to the classic novel, but the trailer gives away the vibe of Jo March in Kim Go-eun’s character and Beth March in Nam Ji-hyun.

As evident in the trailer, the poor sisters have a sudden change of fortune when they luckily and quite unexpectedly get a ton of money. The premise seems pretty interesting and the main cast looks very promising. What I am looking forward to the most is the always reliable Kim Go-eun’s another great performance. She is one of my favorite Korean actors along with Park eun-bin and Shin Hye-sun.

The Cast

Kim Go-eun’s last outing was Yumi’s Cells (even though Yumi’s Cells was not my type of drama, Go-eun nailed it) which was a critical and commercial success. The actor has a midas touch and I can really watch anything that has Go-eun in it. Go-eun plays the role of the older sister here, something that she has not done before. Park Ji Hoo and Nam Ji Hyun plays the other two sisters. I can’t wait to watch what the three actors bring to the table.

Moreover, Little women has a female-centric (can’t help using even though I hate the term) plot and the chemistry between the main cast is something to look forward to. I am sold just by the trailer and hope that the drama would live up to my expectations.

Little Women will release internationally on Netflix on September 3.
