Step by Step Pilot Review

Step by Step is an upcoming Thai language BL series which will be released in 2023. The official pilot of the series has released and it looks like a simple story. Here is my review of the official pilot of the series.

Step by Step is an adaptation of the web novel Khoi Khoi Rak by Summer December. It tells the love story of two men Pat and Jeng in a corporate environment. The series stars Ben Bunyapol Likhit and Man Trisanu Soran in lead roles with Up Poompat Iam-sa from Lovely Writer in a major supporting role.

The official pilot of the series reveals the major story line as a love triangle between the three actors. There is nothing innovative here, except the fact that the setting is somewhat new for a BL series. The actors are fairly good in the pilot episode. But Up Poompat Iam-sam in a supporting role seems to have a very interesting role, something which is opposite to what he played in Lovely Writer.

Overall, Step by Step seems like a not-so-complicated light-hearted romance which could put a smile across your face. The production and cinematography would be top notch and if the execution also lives up to the mark, Step by Step will be an absolutely good one to look forward to.
