Only Friends Trailer Talk

Only Friends is an upcoming series by GMMTV with an ensemble cast with many of our favorite actors including First, Khaotung and Neo. It is about friendship, complications, friends with benefits, romance, betrayal etc. Only Friends is the story of a group of friends who are involved in complex relationships with each other. Some of them have a crush on the other, some are involved in casual relationships while some are seeking a real romantic relationship.

Only Friends is directed by Jojo Tichakorn Phukhaotong and
Ninew Pinya Chookamsri. Jojo Tichakorn Phukhaotong is also the director of Friendzone and Friendzone 2: Dangerous area, which are my favorite Thai dramas. Friendzone is also about blurring the lines of friendship and making things complicated.

The Cast

Only Friends has an amazing cast to look forward to. First Kanaphan Puitrakul and Khaotung Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan are two fabulous actors and I have loved their BL series ‘The Eclipse’ which was aired recently. Saen (First) and Ray (Khaotung) are in some kind of casual/ real relationship while Ray has a secret crush on his friend Mew.

Neo is playing a very different role from what he has played before. We have seen him playing an energetic humorous guy in most of the dramas. In Only Friends, his character seems to be the darkest of all. He seems to be the trouble maker in the group and the one who does not care about others’ feelings. Book Kasidet Plookphol plays Mew, the studious friend who has never been in any relationship before. Force Jiratchapong Srisang plays Top, a player who might fall in love with Mew as the trailer suggests.

There are a lot of pulling factors in this drama. First and foremost being the storyline and the makers. The cast is another factor that compels us to watch this series. All of them are amazing actors and I really look forward to seeing them playing these complicated characters in Only Friends.
