Netflix’s Narco Saints’ Trailer: Will the secret spy mission succeed?

An ordinary businessman Mr. Kang (Ha Jung Woo) is on a secret spy mission by Korean Government to a world where “Trust is the Deadliest Deal”. Park Hae Soo is an NIS (National Intelligence Service) officer sets Ha Jung Woo off to act as a drug dealer to catch the real Drug Lord operating in Suriname, South America. The trailer of Narco Saints opens up with the police chasing Ha Jung Woo. In the next scene, he is already in prison.

We can see a lot of chants by a pastor named Joen (Hwang Jung-min) (who is not just a pastor) and his followers in the coming sequences. It is said in the trailer that he is the reason why Mr Kang is in prison. Is he the drug lord? There are elements of threats and fear seen throughout the trailer. Narco Saints’ trailer packed with action and suspense arouses curiosity among the audience. Jo Woo-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok also appear in the trailer, but their characters are not yet revealed.

The trailer does not reveal much about the story and the characters. It ends with Park Hae San’s voice asking Mr Kang, “Do we still have the same goal in mind?” Will Mr Kang succeed in his mission? Or will he become another Drug Lord? Well, you should watch the series to find out.

The Korean Crime thriller created by Yoon Jong-Bin { the director of ‘The spy Gone North’ and ‘ Nameless Gangster: Rules of the time’ }and Kwon Sung-hui has a brilliant star cast including Ha Jung-woo, Hwang Jung-min, Park Hae-soo (He has acted in Squid game and Money Heist Korea), Jo Woo-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok and a special appearance by Chang Chen.

The series releases in Netflix on September 9.
