Kdrama ‘Hunted’ is an Enthralling Mystery Thriller starring Park Ho San

The newly released Kdrama “Hunted” is an enthralling mystery thriller which keeps you on your toes till the end. The drama is written by Jo Beom Gi and directed by Song Yeon Hwa. The major characters are played by Park Ho San, Ye Soo Jung, Kim Soo Jin and Lee Hyo Je.

Setting

The story takes place in a village where most of the people are farmers.

Kim Young Soo (played by Park Ho San), his wife Chae Jung ) played by Kim Soo Jin) and their son In Sung(played by Lee Hyo Je) were living a pretty normal life in the village as a farmer family until one day when they win a lottery.

Ok Soon(played by Ye Soo Jung) is an old lady who lost her son and daughter in law years ago. She believes that the villagers set their house on fire and killed them. She has a grandson named Hyun Min (played by Lee Min Jae) who is very kind and compassionate towards everyone. He is the classmate of In Sung.

Most of the villagers are farmers and they regularly face wild boar attacks on their crops. One fine day, Young Soo, his friends and the chief of the village go for wild boar hunting. Young Soo shoots something accidentally during the hunt and hears a human scream. He runs away due to fear and shock. On the same day In Sung and Hyun Min go missing. The following events unravel the mystery of what really happened on that day. As the episodes progress we will get to find out about the most unexpected things.

Awe Factors

The terrific acting skills of Park Ho San somehow justify his actions even though some of them cannot be regarded as good. The family has to deal with a lot of things while waiting for their missing son to return. The narrative is engaging with a lot of mysteries waiting to see the light.

The drama points out that you will never know the true nature of a person. Those who seem innocent will also have a cruel backstory. The seemingly beautiful village full of innocent people turns out to be much different in the end.

Ye Soo Jung and Kim Soo Jin have done amazing jobs as actors. But Lee Hyo Je who played In Sung’s role was on another level with his acting.

Hunted is a good watch for the fans of mystery thrillers.
