Shoko Ishida (Kasumi Arimura) and Yoshio Haneoka (Tomoya Nakamura) are entirely different from each other. Ishida is an immensely talented paralegal and Haneoka is a lawyer with a photographic memory. But they are not perfect individuals. They have untold truths about themselves which are stumbling blocks in their career. But these exact same impediments in each other creates a great partnership. How? To know that, you might want to watch Ishiko and Haneo: You’re Suing Me?

The plot is really interesting and the story is narrated with a tinge of humor. The lead actors have great chemistry and they complement each other in every scene. There is no over sentimentality or emotions so far. The execution is pretty straightforward. There are some surprising aspects in cinematography too.

Yet it is not an entirely perfect series. There is a lack of clarity in writing and also in the cinematographic aspect previously said. There is an upside down frame that we see when a legal case is discussed. It felt interesting at first but lacks clarity as it gets complex. Sometimes the narration also gets a little confusing. Editing is choppy in many areas hence there is no organic progression from one scene to another.

Slight imperfections aside, Ishiko and Haneo shows great potential and looks like a watchable flick.
