The Golden Spoon is MBC’s upcoming drama starring
Yook Sung Jae, Lee Jong Won, Jung Chae Yeon and Yeonwoo. Song Hyung-wook is the director of the drama. He has previously directed the extremely popular The King’s Affection. It is a fantasy drama where the protagonist has a magical change of fortune.
Sung Jae plays the protagonist here, who has to decide between a life changing opportunity and his own family. He would be able to switch his life if he eats with a golden spoon which has magical properties. So, does he do it or does he not and if he does, what would be awaiting him, forms the premise of The Golden Spoon.
The Golden Spoon is the adaptation of a webtoon of the same name. The protagonist’s intense desire to be rich and his reluctance to give up his own family forms the plot. He will be seen torn between these two aspects as he decides what he should do. He is given an opportunity to have a magical change in fortune. The trailer looks absolutely amazing and we see Sung-jae undergoing an intense psychological crisis. The actor seems to have done a convincing job.
The Golden Spoon will have its premier on MBC on September 23.
