Love in Contract is TVN’s upcoming romantic comedy series starring Park Min-young, Go Kyung Pyo and Kim Jae Young. It is about a service that provides fake wives to clients who are in need of them due to different circumstances, but do not want to get married. Park Min-young plays an employee of that service who is a professional fake wife.
The plot looks different from what one might arrive from the title. It is very unique and different from the usual contract marriage plots. In dramas like these, characters usually get married to each other because of each other’s personal circumstances. Just like Nam Sung-woo’s own (director of Love in Contract)drama, Because, This is My First Life. Nam Sung-woo is also the director of other popular dramas like My Roommate is a Gumiho and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
The Cast
The cast include Go Kyung-pyo who is extremely talented yet so underrated. He was brilliant in Reply 1988. His role as Jung Ji-ho is something to look forward to in this drama. Kim Jae Young as Kang Hae-jin also looks promising.
Park Min-young is exceptionally talented and the actor has a knack for romantic comedies. But often times her choice of roles raises concern because she plays a different version of the same character in every single drama. Her character here looks nothing different from her roles in What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim or Her Private Life. Even though she repeats romantic roles one cannot deny her caliber as an actor. And she does not seem to disappoint here too.
Love in Contract will premier on September 21 on tvn. And it will be released internationally on Rakuten Viki streaming platform.
